These planks share the same traits as the click vinyl with interlock mechanism. Both are often designed to mimic wood floor patterns. The main difference is that the glue-down, as the name suggests, requires to be secured down by glue. 

The other difference is that glue-down planks have no underlay attached, something to consider when installing on concrete basement due to no insulation between the ground and planks.

However, the glue-down offer a cost-effective alternative to the commercial sheet vinyl, although the prep work on the subfloor is equally of great importance, as with all LVPs.
